Areas of Expertise: Program and construction management, construction claim preparation and analysis.  Specialist in construction contract compliance audits and job cost audits.  Other specialties include: oversight of capital expenditures, performance measurement in construction, project feasibility/viability assessments, construction loan assessments, bankruptcy evaluations, and fraud investigations.
Experience: Mr. Marquardt has over twenty five years experience in private industry and public accounting.

Mr. Marquardt's experience covers:  accounting and audit supervision for public companies; financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and accounting operations for real estate development and management companies, including acquisition and project analyses; and construction contract audits.  Other areas of expertise include:  computer systems design and installation; installations and set-up of project management, scheduling, accounting software packages; and productivity/performance measurement, project budgeting/forecasting, job costing, and cash flow analyses utilizing computer models.
Financial and Accounting Services, Construction Contract Audits, Construction Claims, Fraud Investigations and Expert Witness Services As Principal of Abacus, Mr. Marquardt is responsible for company direction and support to the Financial and Accounting Services group.  He serves as Principal-in-Charge on numerous financial oversight, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, investigation, and audit assignments.  Mr. Marquardt's assignments include the auditing of construction contracts for compliance with contract cost and payment provisions, and the establishment and audit of job cost and corporate cost records for the substantiation of costs related to construction claims for cost overruns due to changes in scope, delays, impact/disruption, differing site conditions, interference, and acceleration.  Other assignments include project feasibility/viability assessments, construction loan assessments, bankruptcy evaluations, and fraud investigations.
