Abacus
maintains offices nationwide. Our corporate headquarters is in Newport
Beach, California, and our Eastern regional office is in the Philadelphia
Area of Pennsylvania.
Beyond the firm's general office facilities — which include private offices for professional staff, conference rooms, libraries, generous work areas for support and clerical personnel, and equipment and document storage rooms — Abacus is equipped with the latest in computer hardware and software, as well as advanced office equipment which enable us to meet the administrative needs of virtually any assignment. The specific hardware and software we
utilize, as well as our graphics capability are described below: |
| Computer Hardware | Abacus
has up-to-date lap-top and desk-top personal computers equipped with the
latest high-speed CPU's (i.e., Pentium® and PowerPC® ), large-capacity
hard drives, tape drives, CD-ROM drives, Zip® Drives, high-speed
Data/Fax/Digital Voice modems, and a T-3 Internet connection. In addition,
Abacus utilizes high-resolution laser printers for report
production (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, etc.) and color plotters and
printers for the production of project schedules, drawings, and exhibits
used for demonstrative graphics. Abacus also has digital cameras for site
monitoring purposes. Furthermore, data can be shared within and among our
regional offices and branch offices via our local area networks,
high-speed modems, and Internet connection.
Abacus also maintains high-speed, networked
personal computers for training seminars. |
| Computer Software |
Abacus utilizes the most current version of
Microsoft Windows™ and Apple System™. Abacus maintains
licenses for a variety of software, which allow us to organize and present
data in a variety of useful ways.
Abacus has multiple licenses for all of the most popular "Office Suites", such as: Microsoft® Office, WordPerfect®, and SmartSuite®; for document organization and control: Concordance™/ Opticon™; for project management: Prolog Manager™, Primavera Project Planner® (P3), SureTrack Project Manager®, Microsoft® Project for Windows™, and AlderGraf™ Systems, Inc.; for accounting, MAS90® and Business Works™; for drawing, AutoCad®; and for graphics production QuarkExpress®, Adobe Illustrator™, Corel Draw™, and Adobe Photoshop™. |
